Hello there.
I have been reading all the recent posts and my heart goes out to all of you. I have not been through the terrible time so many of you have had, and are still having. Whether my time has to yet to come, where I am to experience much of the side effects of ‘kill or cure’ treatment still remains unseen.
My Consultant appointment following on from the TURBT I had 3 weeks ago takes place on Tuesday 23rd June. I assume I will will be informed of the stage my cancer is at and the treatment to follow. I already know it was Grade 1. I pray there will be no worse news to follow. By that I mean, regardless of grade, that it has spread.
I wish everyone well. Also know I share full understanding of the worry living with cancer, living with the knowledge cancer can return, can consume.

  • Hi  . Always best to have someone with you at these meetings. They can overwhelm you with information which you forget half of as you leave the room. Take notes if you can. It helps to understand things better. I hope it goes well for you with some positive news. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Hi Kenzie, the unknown is the most difficult bit to get your head around. Once you get your results and your treatment plan is outlined believe me you will be able to face the future with full knowledge Cancer can be treated. We have all been where you are now. Stay well and be positive.

  • Hi Kenzie,As rily suggests it’s good to take someone in with you.Write down anything you want to know/ask as soon as you think of it.I took my sister and a small notebook and pen to jot down the answers to our questions. It’s helpful to have an extra pair of ears.I hope your appointment goes well.It does become much easier mentally once you know the full picture. You can focus on treatment and recovery.Best wishes Jane x
