Just returned from my appointment with the Consultant after my recent scan. Bad news I’m afraid. The scan highlighted a tumour in my left kidney almost identical to the one that was discovered in my bladder in 2018.I’m now on the waiting list to undergo a laparoscopic nephroureterectomy to remove the kidney and tumour utilising robotic surgery. Operation scheduled for 5/6 weeks time. Not the news I was expecting. But it is what it is. We are going to Majorca tomorrow with SIL/BIL. We will enjoy that holiday and prepare for the operation when we return. The consultant assured us that I should be fit to go to Menorca in October for the 3rd and final leg of our Balearics excursions.
Oh Garviv deffo not the news you wanted and not the news any of us wanted you to have either, I'm sorry you are having to go through it all again, but as you say it is what it is sadly and likes to keep kicking us down the road.
Enjoy the holiday and try and keep the thoughts and worry out of your head at least for the holiday, live your best life for the holiday and deal with it all when you come back.
Either way I'm sure you have got this and can bounce back once again.
I really hope you can have a lovely holiday.

I also hate autocorrect and hope people can make sense out of my posts when it changes half the words I type.
Oh Garv. What a bummer. I feel for you but it sounds as though they have got you covered. Try and put it to the back of your mind for a few weeks and enjoy Majorca. Best wishes.
