Squamous cell carcinoma

Hi,Was treatment mentioned ? I had advanced  Squamous cell but no node involvement and had bladder removal in 2019.I’ve stayed cancer free.I hope something can be done for your mum.Love Jane x

they talked about chemo but will meet with the oncologist soon.

Good evening, I had aggressive squamous cell carcinoma. I was diagnosed early February mine was in my uretha. I was told that I had to have a radical cystoprostatectomy. Removal of my bladder prostate and part of my uretha, they also removed 15 lymph nodes. It's 9 weeks since I've had the operation. I was told treatment was not really a option. I hope something can be done for your mum

• I went to see my consultant 2'weeks ago, I don't need any treatment I just need CT scans and cystoscopy for the next 5 years. So yes they have taken it all out. I now have urostomy bag

that gives me some hope thank you! they are doing a PET scan as a just see and make sure they are happy with everything and then we will meet with the oncologist. apparently her oncologist team is good so hopefully get some answers.

Hopefully all goes well and they can remove or treat it quickly. I had a brilliant consultant. If you need to ask anything at all I'm here if I can help

yes it does thank you! I am just concerned now that they are faffing around with a PET scan instead of removing her bladder but I just need.to trust the MDT that have set up the plan 

I totally understand your thinking, but I personally would trust the plan they have set up for your mum.
