Hi everyone hope you are all doing well, I Don't post much but do check in each day to read all posts. I am looking for some advice I am now on bcg 21 and doing well, but and there is always a but in the past few months I have found a few what look like coco pops stuck  on my back and shoulder I went to see my gp this week and he said they are Seborrheic Keratosis and harmless and they can be caused by BCG Treatment has anyone heard of or had these little growths? Sorry for the long post. Love Lynn

  • I have them but not related to BCG .. had them well before I went on this journey.

They are relatively common as I understand.

  • Thanks for your reply I seem to question everything as I go through this treatment my doctor just seemed so dismissive of my concern. Love Lynn

  • I have them and have not had BCG. I had a large, rather crusty one removed from my back, performed by my GP who specialises in minor surgery. Sent a sample away for analysis to confirm Seborrheic Keratosis. He informed me its harmless, age related and the result of skin becoming dry with age.
As I’m going to be 80 in a few weeks the explanation seemed to make sense

  • Hi Lynn,

firstly a massive well done for getting this far… it’s natural to question everything..not got them but have heard of them..I went to my gp during my BCG journey for blood spots on my head…my mum has them and I knew they were nothing to worry about but I went anyway…good luck for 21 onwards…

  • Aw thanks Lynn. I don’t seem to get used to this whole scan treatment thing. And I realise that’s the best that can happen now! I  wish your doctor had been understanding not dismissive. I’ve got one doctor in our practice that I wait weeks to see because she is really nice to me !! And remembers I’ve got/had cancer. Sending you calm thoughts.  You’ve got all of us that understand xx
