Hello all

I had a scan last month . Not had results yet. I restarted bcg 13-15 last week after a 6 month break. God I forgot how hard it was. I have number 15 on 1st June. Today I received an online letter for a face to face follow up appointment which is for 27 may . I'm rather worried as I was at the hospital Monday having bcg, nothing was mentioned. My mind is working overtime.  Wondering is it a follow up after 1 full year of bcg or is it something on the scan . Has anyone had this happen to them. Sorry but I'm a terrible worrier

  • Hi  . You can never read too much into timings of appointments. We have found out over the years different departments do not talk to each other and arrange their own appointments. It's possible your BCG nurses did not know anything about your upcoming consultation. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • You’re not a terrible worrier! You’re just like a lot of us on a really difficult road! Well done for keeping doing everything you can to be well. Each hospital seems to act differently. Maybe ask your Cancer nurse about the timing? They may be able to help. Sending love xx

  • So I rang the urology ward. The receptionist told me it's to do with the ct scans I had. Praying they are all OK.xx

  • Perhaps you should contact your CNS and request her to email you the results of the CT scan.

  • Ive spoke to her. She said she can't disclose the results over phone. And they're not on my NHS app either. Just have to worry and wait until Wednesday.x

  • So sorry you are going through this this. It could be nothing at all worrying but our brains often go to the other scenario. I really hope it goes so very well for you  xx

  • So I got the results off ct scan. Not the news I wanted to hear. There is a thickening in my left ureta. Tumour can't be ruled out. Need to go in under anaesthetic to go through the tube and left kidney. If anything suspicious they will take biopsies. Back to the drawing board feel like it was 12 months ago when I was first diagnosed. All my cystoscopy come back clear pale healthy bladder. To say I'm gutted is an understatement.  Has anyone else been through this or anything similar. I'm off for a chest scan right now as I write this post.
