Hi all,
I have had my first cycle of BCG treatment and must admit not as bad as anticipated.
I know I am due to have more cycles every 3 months for the first year. My question is has anyone had a planned holiday when they were due to have a cycle and could you postpone the cycle until you returned from holiday.
Many Thanks for any help in advance.
Hi Mancmarzy, welcome to the forum and glad you got through your induction without too much trouble. I have found that my CNS has been really helpful. Have they given you dates already ? If not , I would say let them know of your planned holiday as soon as,and see what they say . I suppose the length of time you are away may be a factor, but I am just guessing tbh. Different hospitals, different protocols and individual diagnosis would make it difficult to give accurate information. If you click on my profile , its all there , dates and treatments ,tests and the odd trip. Hope you get something sorted.Take care
Much love Angela x
Hello, pleased your primary BCG instillations went well. I think if you are on holiday for a week the hospital can work round it given sufficient notice. During my BCG treatment I had an UTI infection and missed a weekly BCG instillation. This did not cause any problems just a week’s delay. Have a word with your CNS. Good luck and stay well.
