Hello it’s me again,
So I posted recently that I’d had an early, low grade tiny tumour 8 years ago, frequent UTIs over the years and various pain/symptoms that were not UTI’s resulting in another cystoscopy 8 weeks ago, bit of inflammation found, 6 weeks of bladder instillations, another cystoscopy to check it’s all calmed down and WHAM……..red patches found.
So, pre op next week and biopsy on December 4th.
Worried
But meanwhile, two weeks after that last cystoscopy, I am still struggling with burning pain every time I wee and frequency.
Shouldn’t this have settled by now?
I’m going on holiday on the 16th and have never felt less like a holiday - physically and mentally- in my life.
I’m hoping the pain eases and my mind is occupied.

Hi Betty Butter, may I ask what the bladder instillations were ? I have had BCG and red patches a couple of times. Have you had a sample checked to see if there is an infection, it may be worth just letting them to have a check. I hope you get some answers, alot can change in 9 days. I hope you are sorted before your hols xx
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela
Thanks for replying x
The bladder instillations were just Hyacyst “washes” to calm down the inflammation and the first four felt fine but the nurse struggled to insert the catheter for the 5th one and after that it’s been really uncomfortable with burning and a strange sensation when weeing and then I had the 6th instillation at the end of the cystoscopy and things haven’t improved.
I’ve been really careful with what I drink and eat- only plain water and decaf tea and coffee- and cut out tomatoes etc.
Obviously I’m really worried that the red patches they’ve found is CIS as this was queried but desperately hoping it’s “just” inflammation.
They scratch their heads with me and keep muttering; “She just doesn’t fit the profile”.
But it’s happened before so……… ♀️
Hope you are ok and love to everyone on here xx
