Evening all,
I may have mentioned once or a thousand times about my peeing problems…
I did some reading up on it and it’s not just what you drink that irritates the bladder..
so what I have done today is, changed to wholemeal rice, bread and pasta, lean meats, and nuts. ( Almonds and cashews)
had almond peanut butter on toast
salmon and rice
snacked on nuts
plenty of water and red bush tea..
up until midday it was much the same, but from then until now 8pm, im getting a bit more flow, and a lot less pain…not as sensitive..
im hoping this isn’t a one off and I can get some sleep tonight…I’ll take 5 hours…
love to all….
Nigel
Hi Nigel,I hope the changes help. When I had Interstitial cystitis I cut out anything citrus, onions and tomatoes as they caused the most bladder pain for me.It is a bit trial and error as what is ok for one person might not work for another.Keeping a record of what you eat and drink can help to pinpoint anything that is causing problems.Good luck with it.Love Jane xx
Hello Rob, sorry to hear you are still having problems sleeping and peeing. Welcome to the old man’s club. I sleep like a baby waking up every two hours and bursting into tears. I had a TURP in 2022 which did increase my flow. However, I have to self Catherine twice a week to keep the water pipe open. Not recommended for young lads like you. I stick to decaffeinated tea and coffee and drink lemon barley water in the mornings and about 1 litre of water whilst playing and after golf. I rarely drink anything after 4pm except of course on Friday- yes Curry night with red wine and maybe a couple of Johnny Walkers. Still get up 2/3 times per night though. Good luck Nigel with your new regime
