I am now nearly up to a year  on Oct 2 since I had a biopsy and a CIS removed. I had 3 BCG treatments which were stopped in December as they were affecting my eyes.. since December I have gone from the toilet  and in constant pain to having my life back. I am now being monitored every three months by having a camera into my bladder and so far all is good, next one due in October. Plus I had a CT scan yesterday results due …………….thats anyone’s guess. No one ever knew what the pain was and now it’s gone they don’t know why. Since Christmas I have had no UTI’s feel better than I have done in years and that horrible tiredness has gone. But just to add insult to injury I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic  that was Feb this year .Due to having comfort eaten over the past couple of years  like nothing to do with having an ovarian cyst the size of a football removed 2+ years ago after which the problems with my bladder got worse. I was under the urology unit at our local hospital who took 2 years to finally do a biopsy which revealed cancer. After the diabetic diagnosis  1 up from being pre diabetic we both went on a low carb diet as my husband was pre diabetic . Fast forward to August and a blood test revealed my husband is below the pre diabetic level  we have both lost 2 stone in weight. I am having a blood test tomorrow so hoping my results will be similar. .so for now I am just enjoying life and hoping I will be in the50% where the cancer stays away.
