Hiya. Ive had bladder cancer for 2 years. Ive recently had immune therapy and radiotherapy . Im now unable to pass stoles but I am passing anal mucus several times a day, some times uncontrollably . Has anyone experienced this?
Hi Cinders73 . Sorry to hear you are feeling the side effects of radiotherapy. I had RT and got through it ok, but my notes said radiotherapy can give rise to radiation proctitis, tenesmus and mucus discharge. Notes advised to drink up to 3 litres of water or mild cordial daily. This could also be a sign of infection, so always best to consult with the medical team or GP. I hope things get better soon.
