BCG side effects

Hi MaxJ . Sorry to hear your husband is feeling the effects of BCG. I've not had this myself, but we have seen many different side effects with this treatment. I am sure our BCGers will be along to share experiences when they get a chance. Does your husband have a CNS he can call if you are concerned? Best wishes.

I have a number for the department, but not a specific nurse / dr...  Hopefully the next appointment will be coming up soon and we can mention it then..

Welcome to this friendly forum, but sorry to hear about your husband's problems.

Unfortunately BCG can have a plethora of side effects. 

I personally haven't experienced breathlessness, I'm often tired after the installations. Mainly because I'm up during the night weeing which can be very tiring.

Is your husband up during the night? BCG inflames the bladder which can create urgency and inability too hold the normal amount in the bladder. Which means lot's of trips to the loo. Certainly had power naps when I could.

I think it would be worth having a call with his CNS or consultant.

Thank you, Trevor... We've got an appointment for the next round of maintenance treatments later this week so I'll bring it up then.  Like you my husband experience urgency (and frequency) after the treatment, but it is 11 weeks since his last maintenance round so that side of things has settled down... but he still seems to be so tired all the time.  Definitely worth asking about.
