Hi All,
Great to connect with everyone and sorry that you're all going through this too. I'm 35 and have recently had TURBT to remove a small 0.5cm grade 2 Ta tumour, which as of now doesn't require any further treatment other than the 3m cystoscopy to recheck. I was keen to get an understanding of how likely it is that it will recur and stories from others who have been in similar situations and what happened next. I'd imagine most people posting will likely have had a harder and continued journey with bladder cancer, but any guidance or information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Wishing you all the best,
James

You’ll find a vast array of experiences regarding the flexi Cystocopy James some people can’t handle them at all and some find them uncomfortable but bearable and it’s the same with the after effects some may get inflammation or infection after it and some maybe just tender for a day or two it just depends on the person really I find them uncomfortable but hate being put to sleep and I’m usually just a bit sore for a few days
Ste
I have had over 20 flexis over the years and tolerate them quite well. Stings a bit for a few days but otherwise ok. A few false alarms along the way but so far so good.
Jason. Best wishes for tomorrow. I hope all goes smoothly.
Hi James,TURBT’s can vary and judging from cystoscopies some dr’s are much rougher than others when performing the procedure.I never found TURBT’s or cystoscopies that bad and I had a lot in the past.I think you get used to them if they are a regular occurrence.Drink plenty take painkillers if needed and don’t lift anything heavy for a few weeks was what I adhered to after each one.Best wishes Jane
Thanks Jane, I've found I'm still getting some symptoms 4 weeks after, I did have an infection, getting it checked again to see if it's cleared after the antibiotics. Not sure if it's that or whether it's just irritation, finding it hard to get bladder control right as well! Feel like perhaps I was worrying and then going too often and irritating the system more! It's all good fun isn't it! (Sarcasm)
