Hello everyone

I had the camera today after my 6 week bcg treatment. The consultant said there was a small red area . He took 3 biopsies and did a tula procedure. Was over with quickly.  Has anyone else had this procedure. Just a worry now for the results. My consultant says I'm ready to get on with 7,8,9 of bcg treatment in august

  • Hi Trisha,

I've not had the TULA procedure, but I've had a number of red patches on the bladder which I've also had biopsied.. Thankfully all clear each time.

Best of luck with the results.

Hopefully someone who has had the TULA procedure will be along soonest.

    Take care.

  • Thanks Trevor. Makes me feel a bit better reading about your red patches and biopsy results. My red patch was were the original tumour was. So hopefully may be raised scar tissue or irritation as only 4 weeks since last bcg. That's what consultant said let's hope he's right. Any how he's destroyed the red area with the laser.

  • I do remember feeling worried when they first mentioned a red patch, had a few now, so a bit more relaxed.  They take samples etc... if they take any more samples of my bladder I don't think I'll have much left lol.

It's amazing the technology... Laser's etc..

I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

  • I had a TULA last year for a little patch they were concerned about. They said it was OK and there were no results or anything but I have had two clear cameras since so hopefully they lazered it and it's done with. Hope yours is the same.
