I was diagnosed with bladder cancer 18 months ago I went through the usual bcg treatments 16 in total and found as the treatment progressed I found it very difficult with pain and bladder retention
six weeks ago following a prostate biopsy I was told that I now have a tcc tumour in my prostate
after a post biopsy result I am now facing bladder and prostate removal
I have spoken to a few people that have had bladder cancer and bcg treatments with no problems
I am now due a ct scan next week prior to surgery
Have a look at my posts and history. I am due for surgery in the next 30 days to remove bladder, prostate and lymph nodes and I cant wait. For me, I see light at the end of a 28 year tunnel. Personally, i opted not to not have BCG as I always felt I would end up at this point anyway. Might be a pain in the butt (or where my bladder used to be ) but in my humble opinion much better than the alternative. Stay positive and embrace the change, I have no doubt it will be worth it
