Hi all
After my first BCG last week, I had a bit of a headache and felt rather tired the next day but otherwise ok. This week a repeat except approx. 48 hrs later (appx 8pm last night) heart rate elevated (80-90 average) bpm and I'm normally 60-70. Overnight poor sleep, feeling hot and lowest resting heart rate was 78 - normally 58, lot of aching No stinging etc on urine passing. I did have a steroid injection yesterday morning for hip bursitis but Urology nurses said that would be ok as no contra indications.
I'm probably overthinking it but most posts seem to say side effects are worse on the day/ next day?
Good morning bicycle girl. I read on this forum of many and varied side effects of BCG , and having had 15 I have to say that I’ve been fortunate not to have had any side effects. Reports of headaches and poor sleeping etc leave me wondering how I’ve been able to avoid such events. Kindest regards, John.
Lucky you maybe the steroid injection for my hip bursitis hasn't helped. I did check with CSN though.
Steroids can affect your sleep.I had them for a heart problem and was awake a lot.I hope things settle soon.Jane x
I may well be lucky, having checked my heart rate today it varies from 60 to 130 but it’s better not to be bothered by such variations. I tend to worry about things I can influence . Regards John
