Hi there, I am newly diagnosed with bladder cancer stage 3, started chemo last week, and had a nephroscopy yesterday as the tumour was growing and blocking my left uretha to my kidney.
The pain was unreal, and I couldn't eat or drink anything for the rest of the day (including water) without throwing up. I feel a bit better today, but still in a lot of pain and very uncomfortable.
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on how to cope with this, I have to have it in for the Summer while I have chemo, I am looking for advice on how to secure the bag securely, best clothes to wear, and how to feel as normal as possible....
Thank you so much in advance
Hi LoobyLulu, welcome to this friendly and supportive group. I'm sorry to hear that you have found yourself on this site and that you are struggling with pain. I don't have any experience of nephroscopy or nephrostomy but I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some advice. If you have any questions, please ask them as there are lots of lovely folk on the site willing to help.
Sending you hugs and love, Ade xx
