CT results

Hi Nikink . That letter sounds like a positive. Different departments do not talk to each other and do things in their own time, so it is not unusual for one side of things to get ahead of another. Best wishes.

My hosp uses My Chart. Usually I can see results on there before I get acknowledgement from clinic, but occasionally it's the other way round.

Ah ok . Thank you. It’s the Patient Knows Best portal.  I have no idea if it’s good or bad or whatever. I’m just trying to get my head around it all at the moment. 

You can ask for the results on patients know  best, but it's a hospital, and there are protocols. The radiologist  normally signs off the report, sometimes with a second pair of eyes. Then it gets sent to the consultant. The consultant may then discuss with the MDT, then call a meeting with you. 

Remember it's the consultant that commissions the scan.If you ask for the report on PKB, the release of the report has to be authorized by the consultant.
