BCG Effectiveness

Fellow travellers. Just a short note to say that even although I had an extreme reaction to BCG, which meant I had a RC, the BCG treatment did actually work. The histology after the operation showed no trace of the G3PT1 cancer that I had in the tissue sample or anywhere else in the bladder. So if I had not had such an extreme reaction, and extrvesical granuloma and mass outside the bladder, I would have been clear. It’s just a reminder that BCG does work for high grade cancer. So hang on in there if that is your chosen treatment route. And a happy NY to you all when it comes. Leo

  • Thank you Leo, it's so good to have positive feedback. My diagnosis was also G3PT1 cancer with cancer in  situ. I've had 2 clear flexiscopes so far and ready to start my 10th round of bcg. Your positive words help a great deal with the mental side of things.
