Little update as requested following my last post. Although following my cystiscopy it was thought I had two tumours, it appears there was just one which was removed successfully fingers crossed. Chemo infusion passed without incident. Recovery from the GA was rought and the discomfort last night downstairs was something else. However I'll take that ten times over, I'm peeing clearly at the moment (1st time in months) although 4 visits needed during the night.
My consultant has indicated that I've probably had this with my for a few years and it is likely to reoccur at some point. He likened it to scraping mould from wallpaper. He said without confirmation from histology that he expects further treatment to be a 6 week course of chemo. Now waiting for a clinic/results appointment.
Hi TizzyP
Glad you are not feeling too bad
It does sting for a few days but drink and drink and drink some more
Take it easy for a week or so to let your body heal
I had the same as you in April 24 then 6 weeks of chemo
I didn't have any problems with it and tolerated it really well. Made me very tired for 24 hours after but that was all
Good luck going forward and let us know how you are doing
Happy to answer any questions you may have
Much love Tina
Hi TizzyP . Good to know you got through it with not too much discomfort. As others have said, keep drinking water to flush out any debris. Good luck with your results. Best wishes.
