Hi everyone,
I have recently been diagnosed with BC (about a month ago). Thankfully appointments with the NHS have come through thick & fast.
Almost 2wks post surgery to remove the tumour.
I had a CT scan 3 wks ago & waiting on results & Histology.
Up until now everything has happened relatively quickly but finding it more difficult this week waiting to hear exactly where I’m at & the treatment plan.
Hopefully I will have some new’s next week.
Just to say I have gleaned so much information from your post’s & the kindness & positivity shines through.
Thank you all, Nicola
Hi Cyprus64 and welcome to the group. Waiting for results is always an anxious time and many here will be familiar with the feelings. Once you have your results and a treatment plan, you then have a clearer idea of the way forward and something positive to focus on. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hi Nicola
I'm so glad that you found this forum. I have found it to be a God send. The lovely folk on here are supportive and full of good advice. I'm quite a newbie here too. I was diagnosed in February 2024, I've had 2 TURBTs and just started on BCG therapy for high grade bladder cancer.
Don't be surprised if you have to have a second TURBT to confirm the Histology results before you get started on a treatment plan(if required). I have found that someone on the forum will have the answer to any questions you may have or just to be there for you if you're having a bad day.
Keep posting and im sending you a virtual hug .
Love Ade

Hi
Welcome to this very supportive group, which I hope will make your journey easier. CT scans usually take about 10 days to come through and post TURBT histology about 3 weeks, but there is not fixed rule. You seem to have been dealt with quite quickly, which is good. I think it was about the same time span for me.
Once your results are through your team will decide on a course of treatment and there are many. Fortunately, BC has a high successful treatment rate and if you have any questions please ask on this site. If you have a CSN you could always ask for an update, mine have been absolutely brilliant. Try to stay away from Dr Google.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
