Bladder cancer

I am due to start 6 sessions on Monday, I have  read that weight gain is a side effect 

Did you have any other side effects?

I can't say I remember my stomach swelling, but side effects very from person to person. Have you spoken to your CSN?

I have just finished 6 sessions of Mitomycin and was wondering how long it took for your stomach to return to normal?

Can I also ask what the next step is after chemo?

Hi, Your stomach is surrounded by lymph glands, these can swell up when your body is under some sort of challenge, Hope it settles Ok

Hi Tina. The usual next step is a flexible cystoscopy to see how things went. They need to let any inflammation settle before looking. Usually about six weeks . Best wishes.

That is what I was expecting and I would be able to see myself if it had worked and speak to the consultant

But I have been booked in for a rigid Cystoscopy and Bladder Biopsy under GA in 3 weeks time

I was just wondering if anyone else had had this or knew why?

Hi Tina. Try not to read too much in to this. It often happens. I think some consultants like to be more thorough and like to make doubly sure with a more accurate check. Best wishes.
