Hi, I’m new to the group, i had a TURBT a year ago to remove a tumor, I then went back for a check up yesterday and unfortunately they have found several more lesions. So I have to have another TURBT, which the thought of the catheter is filling me with dread as last time I had it in for 5 days and had painful spasms continuously. Has anyone else experienced this and any advise? X

Hi Tashace, it’s good that the problem is going to be dealt with quickly. I recently had a second TURBT, and it was nowhere as bad as the 1st, but every case is of course different. I hope it all goes well for you. Leo

Hi Tashace

I had a TURBT Feb last year and woke up with a catheter and had to stay in overnight

My last camera check showed new tumours, I had a TURBT last week

I had Cistomycin into the bladder during the operation but no catheter

Went home a few hours later
