Had my biopsy results today from my 5th TURBT, seems I have an escalation in some areas from superficial (Pta) to CIS. As a result I've been offered 15 installations of BCG over a year. My first 6 weeks will start in a few weeks.
Seems mad but kinda glad as it means I can have the BCG as nothing else has worked.
Would be interested to know others experience with this . Paula x

Hi Paula,
Good news that your treatment is starting soon. You might find this leaflet useful: https://www.baus.org.uk/_userfiles/pages/files/Patients/Leaflets/BCG.pdf
The treatment involves passing a thin catheter into your bladder, and putting a dose of BCG in. I have had six lots of BCG so far as part of my one year induction course, and it’s gone ok so far. Of course there can be side effects but it has not been too bad for me, except for the last session which was a bit of an ordeal. Hopefully it’s doing its job ! If you have any specific questions please ask away,
cheers Leo
