Due to the fast turn around of my histo (shock horror probe) I am starting BCG Tuesday next week, 3 weeks and a half after TURBUT 2.
Time to get motoring with the BCG induction course of 6 weeks.
2nd TURBT biopsies showed no muscle invasion , and mopping up of remaining cancer cells were T2 / G2.
Onwards and upwards, reports and probably much moaning about man flu to follow,
Happy leap year.
Leo
Wow that's nice and quick I had turbts and waited quite a while before getting started on bcg, still got 15 under my belt now, 3 more in April. Good luck good to getting going with it.
The slow processing of histology is a national scandal and costing lives. But you never see it in the papers do you?
All the best for your BCG treatment , it’s a long journey I’ve only got 3 more to go had 24 /27 . Having a cystoscopy today to check it’s all still good . You get used to it and to be honest it sounds a lot worse than it is . I have a couple of ibuprofen a couple of hours before the BCG , try and hold it for as long as you can 2 hrs max then lots and lots of water . Lemon and lime barley water great for me . Keep smiling and stay positive
No you hardly hear anything about bladder cancer in the news. It's great they have sorted yours quickly, I have not found it too bad so far.
