Hi everyone. Every time i have a flexi cycstoscopy i seem to have to come and here and tell everyone....lol.
This place (forum) has been a great help to me since my diagnosis nearly two years ago. It has, without doubt, helped me through the early rough times and i'll never be able to thank the contributers to threads enough.
Well the time has come again and tomorrow afternoon i have a flexi cysto. My last one was clear, apart from a slight reddening patch, after the previous two flexis revealed a small (non aggressive) cancer on my bladder wall that was lasered away there and then.
I'll be interested with this flexi. I find it great to watch the screen as the flexi man/woman guides the camera around the bladder. I have made big changes to my diet in the last couple of months and i'm wondering if i will see a difference. My prostate has been slightly enlarged for years so i'll be looking out for any signs of shrinkage.
I know everyone that reads this will wish me luck even if they dont say so. I shall post tomorrow or saturday and let you know what i saw.
All the best....Del
Thanks Bumblebee and BFG. I'll post later today how it went...Del.
Update.
Well, I've just got back from my flexi and I have two cancerous areas forming. Very small and i have to go back in a few weeks to have them lasered away. The lady that did my flexi said she may suggest chemo to the team as i've had a few of these recurrences. The chemo involves having it put into my bladder via cather, leaving it in there for an hour, then emptying bladder.
It's nothing too bad or drastic (the recurrences) but i was hoping the new diet i've taken up would've helped out. I shall persevere with it though as i'm eating healthier than i ever have in my whole life. And i firmly believe it will make a difference. The fight goes on.
Love and strength to you all....Del.
