Hi All
I am looking for some information for my Dad.
He has muscle invasive Bladder Cancer and he has been advised he can have radiotherapy, due to to the chemo not working. The tumor has also spread to the ureter tube and has caused his kidney to strain We think this spread as back in the summer last year, he developed colitis, we think caused from taking nurophen for the pain and he had to stop chemo in order for them to clear this up.
Has anyone had good results from radiotherapy in a similar situation to my Dad? Also was you able to go back to work?
Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for reading my post.
Hi Prindos . I had RT for muscle invasive BC but didn't have any other complications. I didn't really have any nasty side effects during treatment except tiredness towards the end. My treatments were daily for 6 weeks. Each treatment takes about 15 minutes and is not painful. After treatment finished I had erratic bowels for several weeks but manageable. Also bouts of fatigue which gradually got better. I could have gone back to work but I was 64 at the time and decided to take early retirement. that was all ten years ago. Best wishes.
