Hi
I am due to have a biopsy in a few weeks under GA. Trying to gauge how long I will need off work to recover.
Many thanks
Hi Sportie7 and welcome to the group. Recovery from a TURBT depends on a few things. If straightforward, then some people feel ok after a couple of days but still need to take things easy. Nothing strenuous for a least 2 weeks. It also depends on how deep they have to go. The more severe they cut, the longer recovery takes. There is no firm answer as everyone is different, but I would book a week at least, and depending on what sort of work you do, then take it from there. Best wishes.
Hi Sportie7,Welcome to the group.Just a word of caution to add to what rily has said.Try not to lift anything too heavy for a few weeks if possible.I ended up in A & E with a bladder haemorrhage a month after a TURBT.I had been moving heavy boxes the day before.I hope everything goes well.I never found the procedure too bad.Drink plenty of fluids afterwards and take painkillers if needed.A hot water bottle over the bladder can help too.Best wishes Jane
