Hi everyone, I have a bit of a dilema, I am due to start my bcg induction on Tuesday 22nd. My son (lives at home) has had a bad dose of tonsillitis, I assume viral, I feel a bit rough myself ( i can often feel rough with the long covid) so i am very concerned about 2 things. a) should i start treatment if i feel unwell , will they even let me . b) will waiting another week make a huge difference. just to recap i had my follow up turbt on july 3rd so it will be 7weeks . any thoughts would be appreciated. has anyone every had to postpone treatment because they had a cold or tonsillitis ? ( gutted that i am missing the first game of the season ) Much love to you all Angela xx
Hi halofan,
Sorry to hear you're feeling unwell.
Fortunately I've been well each time I was scheduled to have my BCG treatments, but I did hear the nurses saying that someone had cancelled due to feeling unwell, so it does happen. Plus they check for UTIs before hand so I expect people having the treatment delayed can be common.
Hopefully you will feel better soon.
Kindest regards
Hi BFG thanks for the reassurance, I do feel a little bad having to cancel , but i think its probably the right thing to do. having to take my lad to out of hours now for antibiotics as they think it may be strep tonsillitis. He is in such pain poor thing. Much love to you Angela x
