I have been taking Filgrastim injections post chemo for 5 cycles. From cycle 3 I haven't been able to tolerate more than 3 injections after chemo due to extreme bone pain, as a result my white blood cell count has dropped and one cycle of chemo has been deferred. I am anxious not to have my final round of chemo deferred again and am at a loss as to what to do. Has anyone else had this and found any solutions?
Hi Bonkers and welcome to the group. Delays in chemo owing to low blood counts is quite common. I had two delays because of this and was told it would not make much difference in the long term. I know how frustrating it can be when you just want to get it over with. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
