I posted before about my father in law having a diagnosis of bladder and prostate cancer. All scan results are now in and the consultant appointment was today. Two primary cancers rather than a spread, and referral for RC and prostate removal. Absolutely a brilliant result after suspecting much worse.

Hi Sarah. That sounds a lot more positive than your earlier concerns. I did not have this op, but we have others who have and will be able to answer any of your questions. Best wishes going forward.
Thanks Deb
I had my bladder removed just over 3 years ago as part of larger surgery, so at least I understand what it’s like to live with stomas, but as a female the prostate cancer is of course an unknown! However, the consultant is not concerned with this cancer so getting the prostate removed will hopefully sort that issue out. Possibly chemo afterwards he said, but at least it’s good news to find out that surgery is the way forward.

Thanks Jane-I wasn’t my usual positive self about today so was delighted to be proved wrong! Phew…
