I opted to have my procedure anyway had to make the difficult decision of postpone or go ahead despite risk o was told I’ve an infection as there was a high temperature and nitrates in urine. They’ve had to refit the catheter, my bladder closes too quickly which is why it doesn’t empty so I now need surgery. They’ve also and this is the bad bit found red patches in the bladder. I’ve got to go back again in 6 weeks to see if they’ve developed into anything or gone away. Had anyone experience with red patches and being recalled in 6 weeks?
Oh yes! Red patches are the regular bugbear for many on here. Including Mr. D. Infections, surgery, treatments, other conditions, and 'just because' can all cause red patches. They cannot be distinguished visually from some kinds of cancer cells. So if they have improved after 6 weeks they will likely just keep monitoring. If they haven't, you might be looking at them taking biopsies so the lab can determine what cells are in the patches.
So you're in very good company here. Mr. D's have turned out innocent I think about 3 times in 5 years but they don't take chances, which is very reassuring...
Best wishes,
Denby
This describes it well (rarer types):

It is possible to have both CIS & urothelial - TCC - together, which makes the situation very risky. Try not to second guess results, though I know easier said than done.
