I start bcg treatment tomorrow and not sure if I'm OK to drive to and from appointment. Not sure what immediate effects I will have. Anyone advise please?

  • I did take my husband but I think he could have driven himself if necessary. It's more he's not very good at city driving, how to get into the hospital carpark etc.

it affects everyone differently, I'm sure other will say how they got on. Hope it goes well.

  • Hi K. B. We see many people here driving themselves, but if you can, it may be wise to have someone drive you to the first, just to see how it goes. Some people also advise taking a bottle in the car as you may have the sudden need to go, especially if it is a long journey. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • HI K.B., I have had two of my first course of six sessions of BCG and drove myself to and from both sessions without any problems.  Rily is right though, if you do have somebody to accompany or drive you then it make sense just in case. Good luck  PJB
