Hi all!
This coming Wednesday I have my 15th instillation of BCG. Then a cystoscopy in a couple of weeks time and then we will discuss whether I need more BCG. My consultant thinks that I can stop. He says that 90% of the BCG benefits are had in the first year. At this point, if and until I get the all clear the BCG risks outweigh the benefits...
All in all I think that I have been extremely lucky. Having caught it early, having operated very soon, no interruptions in the treatment, no bad effects from the treatment, and a consultant and a BCG nurse that I have difficulties imagine better could exist...
I really wish all of you people in this forum the same outcome and luck that I have had. We have all been in very dark places. I hope we can all come back!
Marco
Hi Marco. Good to know you have managed well so far with your treatment. I had a different treatment, so no experience of BCG.I hope all goes well with your next check up. Best wishes going forward.
