Hi all had my flexi today noticed a round red patch, the nurse took a thermal image ( her words ) when it was finished I asked if it was anything to worry about she said no so went to get bloods done the same nurse that done flexi came to me and said I want check you again in December before you start your next treatment (BCG ) normally it’s treatment then flexi also didn’t do a biopsy anyone got any experience of this sort of thing happening to them ? Thanks in advance
Hi Jghftm1. This comes up regularly on here. It is difficult on visible inspection to differentiate between inflammation and new growths. A follow up flexi up flexi is common to see how things are. BCG can cause this inflammation. Although I had radiotherapy rather than BCG, I have still had a few false alarms over the years because of red patches. The waiting for follow up checks can cause anxiety, but thankfully, on follow up, things had subsided. Best wishes.
