Hello all
I’m now 5 weeks post operative from radical cystectomy and yesterday started to experience sharp pains in my groin which feel like little electric shocks. I’m still very numb around my incision scar but these sharp pains are getting through.
Anyone else experienced this pain whilst recovering.
Hi Pink bird,I had some groin pain but was still in hospital. The doctor said it was due to the lymph nodes they removed.I had various aches and pains at the start of the recovery, none were that sharp though. It might be best to get some medical advice if the pains continue or worsen. How are you feeling otherwise ? I hope the pains improve soon.Best wishes Jane x
Thanks Jane I’m seeing my stoma nurse today so will ask her advice. I was recovering so well but unfortunately got a UTI which caused redness and inflammation to the skin around my stoma. I finish the antibiotics today but this and the new pain has set me back. I think maybe I’m doing too much too soon! X
