Well I had my cystoscopy on Friday and it seemed to go OK. She said on the whole it was good news. There were 2 red patches and she said she was surprised that I hadn’t been booked in to have it under GA as she would have been able to take biopsies just to make doubly sure that the patches were due to the radiation rather than anything more sinister. So instead of waiting 3 months for my next cystoscopy, they are going to arrange it for 8-10 weeks time when I’ll have it under GA.
today I have my CT scan to find out what the shadow is from my chest X-ray the other week and to see whether there’s any sign of the cancer having spread. I don’t see the oncologist for the results though until the 9th June.
wish me luck and best wishes to you all. Regards Linda
Stritty. Hi Linda. Red patches following radiotherapy are normal and usually down to radio burns. I had the same. Shame they didn't do it under GA as it now drags things out a bit for you. My first check after treatment was under GA. They will not tell you anything regarding your scan today. They like to keep us waiting. I hope all goes well for you. Best wishes
