Trans Urethral Laser Ablation (TULA)

Hi,From what I have read they pass a laser fibre via the cystoscope and laser off the tumours.It’s a relatively new treatment used most often for small recurrent tumours.Best wishes Jane

I believe it is similar to diathermy where small superficial tumours are zapped. Usually done under local rather than general anaesthetic. I hope it goes well. Best wishes.

I’ve had a lot of diathermy treatment in the past.This uses an electric current to produce heat which destroys the tumours.I had it for bladder ulcers and red patches.
