Following my Radical Cysectomy (sold to me as a 100% cure), my oncologist is now talking about Immunotherapy.

I do not know when treatent woudl start, or for how long it would last, the Doctor is waiting for my PD-L1 marker test result.

Does anyone of any experience of immunotherapy, all I have is a booklet on side-effects.

  • Hi . No personal experience of this, but Macmillan have some good information on this treatment for bladder cancer if you click HERE . I hope it goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Thanks, but my drug woudl be different - Avelumab (I think it's pretty new).

  • Hi Coojee. Might be worth calling MacMillan to see if they know of people in any of the forums being given Avelumab as being systemic [via IV] rather than topical it is possible it could be used for all sorts of different ones, I don't know which if any but they might. And it might be useful to them to collect patient reaction from you to pass on to others too.

I'm not counting on it but I do hope your dear wife is beginning to accept what has happened and be a little calmer now you are home again.
