Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed about a year ago with Grade 1 pTa bc about a year ago which was removed. I have had some follow-up cystoscopy's since which has been positive (no recurrence).
I was treated under private medical care through my employer but due to Covid my work can keep me on so I am going to be referred to a NHS hospital.
I'm in London and my nearest hospitals are Royal Marsden Sutton, St Georges Tooting, Queens Mary Hospital Roehampton, Kingston Hospital, St Helier Hospital Sutton
Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences of these hospitals (e.g. waiting lists etc etc)?
Thanks
Ron
Hi Ron100 and welcome to the group. I'm in the NW, so no help to you, but things seem to be pretty much on time up here. I've had some recent procedures and the guys on the ward having TURBTs said they did not wait long. I hope all goes well for you. Best wishes.
Hi Ron, no idea what the Urology Dept is like at St. George's but my cousin, for whom I have a lot of respect, is a senior consultant there in another discipline, has been for years, and I've never heard him offer any criticism. Not much help but all I can offer no longer living in London myself.
