Just back from the latest Check up. The check at the end of October was cancelled due to an infection so today was the replacement and it wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for. In among the snowflakes a lesion was found so I now await an appointment for that. Snakes and ladders !
Thanks Rily, I was told I’d hear about further treatment shortly. The last BCG was end of September and the previous Flexi in November was cancelled so there’s been quite a time lag in finding out this result. I sometimes wonder how carefully the procedures are monitored in terms of time scale and planning.
Hi WallyB Thankfully all my treatment and most follow ups were prior to Covid and all mainly bang on time. During Covid, my flexi checks were on time. I always ring the waiting list office prior to my checks just to check I am on the list and so far all has been good. Covid has messed things up, but I think most places are now more organised to keep things up to date. We have several hospitals in our area who used to deal with these things, but have now moved all to a designated urology dept. in one hospital. I hope you get sorted soon. Best wishes.
Thanks for your reply Rily. Like you I’ve been in the habit of making a diary note to check follow up and I’ve telephoned prior to the expected date. My concern is that my phone calls seem to precipitate further action from the department and I wonder what would transpire if I hadn’t called, regards, John
