Hi Marie, just to say welcome to this very friendly and supportive group. My husband's experience is not the same as yours, but it's very likely someone will be along presently who knows more about your husband's situation. Could be worth having a look at other areas of Macmillan such as the lung or liver cancer forums and carers forum? Medical questions also try the 'Ask a Nurse' section. Also have you connected with your local county Carers' Association? They can do a Carer's Assessment which is free and you have a legal entitlement to. You will find out about all the kinds of support available where you live, which will help you to cope the best possible on the road of caring for your husband, and any financial benefits too.
best wishes,
Denby
