Wilbert
Hi Wilbert. It's always concerning when we see a bit of the red stuff. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing serious. I hope your calls tomorrow give some answers. Best wishes.
Thank you and also Denby good news there is infection in the urine Dr said silent uti no symptoms We have been in our happy place Playa Blanca and as usual because it was warm drank lots of water which probably helped Mr W now on antibiotics and Dr will check urine again a week after he finishes them
Worth getting up early to be on Dr doorstep with sample at 8am
Huge relief
Thank you
Wilbert
I have to be cautious as even when specifically requested as you have, this is not allowed. What I will say is that Mr D had several UTIs due to self cath-ing with poor hygiene [Aspie lack of common sense. & self preservation missing]. He has had no further problems since taking daily powdered cranberry tablets. These are not very expensive and he has had no side effects. I believe they discourage germs from sticking to the lining. Also drinking properly diluted Robinsons' Lemon Barley Water was recommended to me by our old GP and warded off the start of what would have been my second bout of cystitis as a young woman.
General immune support we get from quality daily multivits/minerals. [Easy way to check quality: take a magnifying glass (or online) check actual ingredients. If it contains zinc oxide, rubbish do not buy.] Plus we take 500 mg sustained release Vitamin C with breakfast and supper. If I get a sore throat twinge I take a high dose odour controlled garlic tablet, these are a potent natural antibacterial and importantly anti-viral, and an extra zinc tablet. We also daily take fish oil capsules which help build new cell walls and reduce bad stickiness of blood [ie that might cause clot or blockage problems]. Anyone on statins according to our old GP should take CoEnzyme Q10 or if over 50 years old the 'body ready' form of it called Ubiquinol. My husband has never had any side effects since she put him on statins and we followed her advice. It is not cheap but is also useful if one has gum problems as I have found myself.
I know that's quite a list but I am only telling you what we find worth the candle. We take additional things to manage joint pain.
Hope this is some help,
Denby
