Congrats to all reading this. God is good. Feb 6th, 2008, I had my whipple, cholangiocarcinoma. Turned yellow, after a week of tests, scans, biopsy’s …. It was confirmed. 3 days later my world changed. After a difficult 13 hour whipple procedure, I woke with multiple tubes down every orifice of my body. Plus a few drains into my abdomen. After a week I had all but drains out and got to go home. It was a 3/4 month recovery by went back to work and tried my hardest to carry own with life like before. 10 years later, 2018 I started having swelling in my ankles and abdomen. And very fatigued. I woke up one morning and had litterally lost my mind. Would talk crazy and couldn’t hardly walk. Thank God my mother rushed me to the hospital. By liver was shutting down, ammonia was causing the swelling and was poisoning my body. I weighed 260 pre whipple. I was down to 112lbs. I looked horrible, no muscle just bones. Long story short I am now cancer free, take a wad of pills, but liver keeping up, and I have more good days than bad. I still have acute abdominal pain daily but Dr’s say it’s scarring from surgeries, whipple, and a stomach surgery to open the exit hole from my stomach to small intestine. I’ve had 4 procedures to go in thru mouth and stretch exit hole in stomach. I can’t digest anything with skins, peppers, tomatoes, beans, even lettuce won’t go thru. I avoid all. When I say it won’t go thru, it will sit in my stomach and the next day up it comes. Yuk, I hate to throw up. I’m thankful to be alive and just curious if anyone else has issues like I do. I’m reading a lot of post with acute abdomen pain but the not being able to eat certain foods and veggies I haven’t found. God bless all you warriors and be sure and thank God every day for still being here, I sure do. Hope to hear from y’all. Mike
Hi MWM and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

It sounds like you've been through a great deal since being diagnosed and I'm sorry that there are certain foods that you can't eat.
