Hi

I am on another group chat on here, which is very good and positive, however, I would like to hear from someone who is 5, 10 & 15+ years post surgery or treatment please.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

  • Hi

That's great to read that you've found another thread on here to be very good and positive.

Although I hope there are people here who are 15 years or more past treatment, most people do tend to leave the group once their treatment has finished so, sadly, you might not get any replies.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Good Morning

Thank you for your reply and I have now updated my 'Profile'.  Thank you for this tip as I did not realise I could do that.

I hope you are well.  May I ask how long ago you were diagnosed / treated etc..?  If you prefer not to say, I respect your privacy.

Yes, I set another thread up and many have engaged, which is wonderful.

"Never regret a day in your life, good days give you happiness, bad days give you experience" - love this.

    Have a blessed day.

    :-)

  • Hi

I've had two cancer diagnoses. My first one was melanoma which was diagnosed 8 years ago. I had surgery to remove that and then follow-ups for 5 years to make sure nothing popped up anywhere else!

The two and a half years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was treated with surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy over a 9 month period. I now have yearly mammograms and a yearly check up with my oncologist.

I have to admit that the quote in my signature line is not original but I felt it was very true and summed up how I like to look at my life.

  • Good Afternoon from Cornwall.

    Thank you for your openness.

I feel it’s good for people to read different journeys.

I hope your remaining well today and remain that way for many years.

Your quote, albeit not originally yours, is good Kissing heart

Have a blessed Christmas Christmas tree

  • These numbers 5-8 sound encouraging. My doctor is very positive and. Has told me if I get the immunotherapy drug it could be a cure.  O course there is a 50% chance I get the placebo.  I hope for the best and pray for everyone a wonderful holiday season with many years of New Year Celebrations for everyone here

  • Just enjoy your cruise & let him look when your back!  xx
