Hi, I've just joined this forum after being diagnosed in Oct 21 with terminal cholangiacarcinoma.
I had no real symptoms.. Slight stich in right side with 2 days vomiting prompted me to visit gp.
5 long weeks in hospital before discharged for end of life care.. I'm 54.
Fortunately I was offered a place on the palliative cisplatin /Nuc-1031 chemo trial to hopefully add an extra few months. Its tough going but I'm fighting. I get my post 3rd cycle scan on Monday 31 Jan. Hoping to see slow down of progression and spread.
Thanks for reading x
Similar story. Diagnosed June 21 stage IV inoperable. Began ABC-07 trial. Had chemo then randomised to have SBRT radiotherapy. Although had tired periods I didn’t feel ill. Now I feel the same as I did when first diagnosed. So now just living life to the full if I want to do something I do it. Can’t get travel insurance but been abroad 3 times since lock down ended without incident or accident
