My darling husband who until recently was a very fit 64 year old was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma at the beginning of the month. He had a regular blood check end of October that showed elevated LFT's, then started with jaundice two weeks later. Scan's that followed showed one large intrahepatic tumour of 7cm with no node involvement. We now have two ptc drains in and have been told they are unable to stent or remove due to where it is and its size. We are hoping for chemo but his bilirubin is over 300 so not suitable at the moment. Anyone else been in a similar position?
Dear I am so sorry to hear of your husbands present difficulties. Bile duct cancer is quite rare so this part of the forum seems to be a little quiet, so while your waiting for a reply I wanted to draw your attention to some information on bile duct cancer provided my Macmillan on this site.
