Hi everyone. I'm due to start 6 weeks of radiotherapy on Monday and I'm absolutely terrified about the possible side effects (especially after reading about other people's experience on here !) Does anyone get through it relatively unscathed ?
Hi scalliwag Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry you have found yourself here. I found while treatment wasn't a walk in the park it wasn't as bad as I expected. Any side effects you may get won't all come at once they will come over time, I had wind pain from day one but cutting green veg helped with that. The skin on the tops of my legs felt like very mild sunburn and didn't get uncomfortable until about half way through if I remember right. After treatment having a poo wasn't great but this didn't last for that long. I feel I got through relatively unscathed as you say compared to some but we all react and cope differently with treatment. Good luck for Monday. Sending hugs. Xx
