Am three weeks on from finishing chemoradio, and have started this last week to see a turn around , though I’m still very conscious of my sore ‘you know where ‘

  • Hi  welcome to the forum although im sorry you have found yourself here.  Well done on getting through treatment, its good you are seeing a turn around. You will soon be back to health. Sending hugs. Xx

  • Hello Phil Rico7b9734,

A big well done on getting through treatment although of course I’m sorry that you had to go through it.
It does take time for everything heal up and this is still very early days for you. I think we all hope to bounce back quickly, and of course some fortunate people do but for many of us it’s a gradual process. Just try to rest up and it will get better even though it can feel really uncomfortable in the early stages.

It’s positive that you’ve started to see a turnaround and hope that the pain decreases soon . X

  • Hello

Oh yes, we certainly do know all about sore 'you know wheres' on here!  It is so good that you are turning the corner and you will get there.  It can vary how much time each of us need and you may well have to adapt to a new normal but when your first scan shows that hopefully (and the treatment you have had has an excellent record) you are cancer-free.  And perhaps you will still visit here and see posts from others going through it and think, ah yes, I have been there, and commiserate!  Just remember there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Big hug

    Irene xx
