Hello!
Seems like a few of us here are all marching up the hill somewhat together! How lovely! Haha the trip no one signed up for and got selected for anyway!
wondering what to expect at new PT appointments— I go Wednesday- radiation am then blood tests and chemo side afternoon.
appreciate everyone and xx to all!
Hi Ewagirl
Good luck for Wednesday. If yours goes the same as mine I had to drink 450ml of water then wait 45 minutes then have the radiotherapy it's quick and painless the setup takes longer than the actual treatment. I had my chemo first on day one they put the mitomycin through and then attached my pump full of chemo gave me some anti sickness meds and sent me on my way. Xx
Hello Ewagirl
The pre-planning appointment was really straightforward. I had to drink lots of water, (this pushes the bladder out of the way) let it go down and then I lay on the CT scanning table (yes, another scan!) whilst they positioned me for the eventual radiotherapy. And then did three tiny tattoos, one on each hip and one in the middle. When I went for the actual treatment later, the staff would line me up on the table so that I was in exact position according to the dots.
I knew I had to drink water so got into the habit of drinking on the way to the hospital and never had to top up at all.
Best of luck Ewagirl
Irene xx
