Hello all. I hope everyone is doing as well as they are able. I have been struck down with what feels like a flu virus. What is strange is that I had the exact same symptoms four weeks ago, that lasted 48hrs. Symptoms are very achy joints, especially my lower back, pelvis and legs. My bad leg, which needs a new hip especially. I have a high temp and headache. I was worried today as I was shivering and rang the gp. She wants me to go in tomorrow. Though she does think it’s prob a viral thing. Has anyone had similar?? I’m almost two years post treatment. Awaiting a hip replacement
im probably being over cautious but having two episodes of identical symptoms has worried me. My hip and leg is so sore.
thanks x
Hi Clarhedge , I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling so rubbish. I’ve had a couple of bouts recently of feeling like I’m going to have the flu, I’ve had a headache, freezing cold, burning eyes, aching joints then 24 hrs later nothing! It’s happened twice in 3 weeks & there’s flu & Covid doing the rounds in my place of work so I’ve been expecting it to materialise but nothing, I’ve been exhausted but not sleeping great so I’m assuming it’s been viral & my immune system is dealing with it as best it can. My arthritis pain always worsens when I’m sickening for anything which isn’t very often thankfully. I would probably monitor things & if you don’t perk up soon maybe request some blood tests with your GP.
Nicola
